Class AH,

Welcome to 2019! Hopefully you all had a fantastic Christmas period and you are looking forward to all of the fun things that the New Year will bring.

In class we will be looking at the rich history and geographical features of our local area; children will learn about Barnsley’s industrial past and how it has helped to shape the town we live in today.

Please continue your fantastic support at home by encouraging your children to practice their spellings and multiplication tables nightly and read with them as often as you can.

If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to come and see me.

 Yours sincerely,

 Mr Hall

EVENTS for Class AH

Class AH are visiting the National Coal Mining Museum on Wednesday 13th March 2019.

This will support the children's topic in history.  They will have a tour of the mine and a workshop.  The coach leaves school at 9.10am and we will be back before 3.00pm.  The children will need a warm coat, sensible boots/shoes and a packed lunch.  We will be visiting the shop if you would like to send some money with your child - no more than £5 in a named envelope/purse.

Class AH are entering a writing competition.  We have sent the letters out explaining what we are doing with a permission slip attached as we cannot enter your child's work without this.  The deadline for the permission slip is the 14th February 2019. Please click on the link below if you need to download the letter.
